Vince Gill Invites Charlie Worsham to Join The Opry

On August 7, during Vince Gill’s 50 Years From Home residency at the Ryman Auditorium, Gill invited longtime collaborator Charlie Worsham to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Worsham, who has become one of Nashville’s most respected songwriters and musicians, first stepped onto the Opry stage as a 12-year-old, playing banjo with Mike Snider after winning the Junior National Banjo Competition in Smithville, Tennessee.

The invitation came on the 20th anniversary of Worsham’s move to Nashville, making the moment an especially meaningful.

A date has yet to be set for Worsham’s induction, but you can sign up to find out more here.
