It’s ‘Suede’ Season: Erin Kinsey Celebrates New Album in Nashville

In front of a crowded room of her peers, fans, and family, Erin Kinsey excitedly shared her newest project, Suede. A 10-song effort that blends her roots of playing opry’s in Texas with the guitar-forward tracks found in her earlier releases.

Suede shares a new side of Kinsey, who previously went viral with punchy songs like I Ain’t Crazy and Matchmaker, which have amassed nearly 22 million spins on Spotify combined. This project seemingly flips the page to a more neo-traditional country sound.

The performance at Skinny Dennis in East Nashville was filled with the whine of steel guitar, understated harmonies, three chords, and the truth while still bringing in the electric guitar power that found success on 40 East and Gettin' Away With It.

The show certainly had plenty of standout moments; however, the most notable was the cold start of Texas Tonight. A three-part harmony with background vocalist Jazz Davis and guitarist Michael Kight, silencing the crowd. Another moment came during Say I’m Wrong, a duet with Dylan Marlowe. Marlowe wasn’t on hand for the performance, but Kight, who also co-produced Suede, seamlessly filled the void.

Suede will be available to stream on all platforms on August 7th.
